Read the business behind the numbers.
A credit memo brings together borrower context, the requested facility, financial history, repayment obligations, and collateral. Review the full picture before choosing your response.
- Approve
- Fund the application when the evidence supports repayment and the proposed terms compensate for the risk.
- Restructure
- Adjust the spread, tenor, or collateral where a different structure can make the credit more defensible.
- Reject
- Decline financing when the repayment story or risk profile does not support the exposure.
You may add a rationale to record the case evidence and trade-offs behind your choice. It is optional: a decision can be recorded with the note left blank.
Keep your conviction open to evidence.
The full case deck runs across three rounds of ten applications. Market shocks between rounds change sector conditions. Read each briefing and revisit the assumptions behind your lending strategy.
Establish your approach.
Work through the initial applications and build a portfolio under the starting conditions.
Reassess the exposure.
Read the first market shock and consider how sector changes affect repayment capacity.
Adapt with discipline.
Respond to the next shock while considering concentration and the portfolio already on your books.
Each invited session uses its configured application deck and scenario briefings. Follow the information shown in your room.
Go beyond a single score.
The current simulation rubric awards 60 points for correct credit decisions, 25 for responding appropriately to market shocks, and 15 for pricing discipline. Increasing a spread or tenor to inflate model profit does not earn extra score.
Profit, losses and portfolio exposure support the debrief. Reflection submission and word count do not earn automated points. In assessed rooms, faculty grade the reflection using a separate rubric; the class grade combines 70% simulation with 30% faculty reflection assessment. Stored results from the original rubric remain labeled with their original basis.
In an assessed room, your host controls the results reveal. Once available, review the outcomes and submit your reflection. Instructors can review decision logs, grade reflections, and export the gradebook.
Your room. Your ID. Your attempt.
- Open the link your host shared, or use Join a session on the website with your six-character room code.
- For Shared link, the room code is already filled in. Enter your name and the participant ID your professor assigned, then select Take your seat. No email or account is needed.
- For Approved emails, sign in using the exact email your professor approved. Open the verification link in the same browser where you requested it, then join the room.
- Return to your workspace to resume an unfinished attempt or see your result after the host reveals it. Shared-link participants must return in the same browser and keep its site data.
Shared-link rooms allow one attempt per participant ID; approved-email rooms tie an attempt to the signed-in account. Participant IDs are entered by students, so use the ID your professor assigns. If an ID already has an attempt, return in your original browser or contact your professor. A new invitation does not reset an attempt; a new assessment needs a new room.
Set the context. Lead the conversation.
Hosts are approved by the platform administrator. Once signed in with an approved host account, create a room from your workspace and choose how participants join.
- Shared link
- The default for new rooms. Share one link or the room code with your class. Participants enter their name and participant ID without an email or account. One attempt is allowed per ID in that room.
- Approved emails
- Choose this mode for verified email access. Add participants individually or in a group, then share the session link or their personal invitations. Only approved emails can start an attempt.
- Host console
- Follow progress, inspect decisions and sector patterns, and manage participant access while the room is open.
- The debrief
- Control the reveal, review reflections, and export a gradebook for your own assessment workflow.
Change the mode under How participants join while the room is open; your selection saves immediately. Existing attempts keep their access. Shared-link details are self-entered, so assign each student a participant ID. Choose Approved emails when you need verified access.
Adding more participants extends the cohort without giving existing participants a fresh attempt. Closing a room prevents new joins and further decision submissions; create a new room when you need a new assessment.
Open your workspaceGive each professor their own desk.
The master account manages professor access and the shared application library. A professor creates and manages their own rooms, invites students, follows progress and grades reflections. Professors do not receive control of one another's classes.
- Sign in to this platform with the master account. Being signed in to the database dashboard is a separate session.
- Open Professor access and grant access to the professor's email address.
- The professor signs in using that same verified email, then creates a room from their workspace.
- The professor chooses Shared link or Approved emails, shares the session link, and monitors the class from the room console. Shared-link students enter with their name and participant ID; email-mode students verify an approved address.
- After all intended participants finish, the professor closes the room, releases results, grades reflections and downloads the gradebook.
Professor grants and student invitations are different controls. Adding a student email to a room never grants teaching access. Granting access creates a permission record; share the sign-in or session link yourself. Suspending professor access prevents further use of the host controls.
